New BA Combos Are Powerful, Lightweight and Purely Ampeg -Now Shipping to Dealers-
ANAHEIM, CA - January 15, 2009 Ampeg today announces a significant expansion of its BassAmp Series with four new combo models - the BA300/115, BA300/210, BA600/115 and BA600/210 - each combining professional-grade power with extreme portability, durability and tonal versatility.
Now shipping to dealers around the globe, the BA300/115 (single 15-inch driver) and BA300/210 (dual 10-inch drivers) bass combos both provide a staggering 300 watts of pure Ampeg tone from an enclosure barely larger than four cubic feet. Solid low-end is delivered by ceramic magnet speakers, while top-end is supplied by a HF horn with level control for customizing the sound. Ideal for the semi-pro to professional player seeking ultra-transportable, SVT-level output, the Ampeg BA300/115 and BA300/210 carry a U.S. manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $979.99 ($699.99 MAP) and $1,119.99 ($799.99 MAP), respectively.
The BA600/115 and BA600/210 offer nearly all of the same features as their BA300 siblings with the added benefit of twice the power - a massive 600 watts. Custom-designed, proprietary neodymium speakers maximize power handling and performance while minimizing weight. Perfect for players wanting both the best in modern and vintage sounds, extremely high-powered performance, and hernia-free portability, the Ampeg BA600/115 and BA600/210 carry a U.S. manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $1,399.99 ($999.99 MAP) and $1,539.99 ($1,099.99 MAP), respectively.
“Our new BassAmp Series combos once again prove that Ampeg is the bass amp for professionals,” says Ampeg Product Manager Zane Williams. “LOUD’s engineering prowess involving lightweight, Class D power allows us to offer vintage Ampeg tone, plus a more transparent, modern Ampeg sound, in a very powerful and lightweight combo. These four new models represent the utilization of meaningful technology without losing sight of the expectations held by our loyal customers.”
